El Mundo Está Como Una Cabra - Liam S Rickard
(written in 2014/16, released in 2018 and 2020)
The lyrics and melody were written in 2014 in North Wales while I was learning Spanish with my friend Ana Belen (early version, in Cochabamba, Bolivia, 2015). The riff was composed earlier that year in France on a family holiday. It was refined in 2016, and recorded a few months later in DSI studios, North London. It was released in 2018 as part of Worldwide Welshman's first/demo album, "The World is like a Crazy Goat". It's both a defiant anthem about partying on despite everything, and a lament about the hedonism at the end of civilization.
A live version of the song was recorded in De Centrale, Ghent, at the turn of the decade. This was released in 2020 as a single, and as part of the live album "New Year Orchestra".
